Is my nissan micra clutch going on 2003 please help?

iv just brought a 2003 Nissan micra 1.2 petrol, my husband notice that the clutch bit was high, but i took it my dad that has been doing cars for about 30 years now and he said its fine. the problem is that the clutch bit is high there is about 1 1/2 - 2 in from the top, there is no other signs of it going its smooth and light no problem getting it in gear just the bit is high, but i wondered if its because the clutch pedal goes all the way to the floor. i never notice it till my husband said, please help
