Is it more to insure a diesel car or a petrol one?

Diesels tend to be less expensive to insure because they tend to not only less powerful, but also because they tend to be bought by people who are trying to save money, and are not as likely to have accidents. While diesels cost more at first, they last much longer so cost much less over all. They also costs much less to operate.
